"O Sissyman" parodies Laurie Anderson's 1982 Big Science single "O Superman."  I am inspired by the way Anderson uses her body and voice as instrument; and her use of shape, color, and music to convey narrative in performance. The lyrics are inspired by neglect and the rhyme is written to reflect "O Superman."

The artwork for this video was created using acryclic paint, graphite, and collage on paper.  Jones recreates the compositions in Anderson's video, but uses triangles and the color red in contrast to Anderson's circles and shades of blue.
Jones recorded the audio and beatbox percussions using a field recorder. The groove is an audio sample of the word "Hot" that was sliced from a "Dixie Line" recording and looped in a DAW.
